Cybersecurity Leader Segura® Secures US$25 Million Growth Round from Riverwood Capital to Fuel Global Expansion
11 de fevereiro de 2026
Graphene Ventures congratulates our portfolio company Segura® on securing a US$25 million growth investment led by Riverwood Capital, a global technology-focused investment firm. The round marks a significant milestone in Segura®’s trajectory and reinforces its position in the global identity security market.
The investment will support Segura®’s international expansion and the continued evolution of its AI-powered identity security platform. Riverwood Capital is known for partnering with technology companies that demonstrate strong execution, scalable business models, and durable product leadership in demanding enterprise environments.
Segura® has built a unified Privileged Access Management (PAM) platform designed to address the growing complexity of identity security. Its architecture integrates identity governance, session control, and behavioral context to provide visibility and control across the full privileged access lifecycle. The platform is designed for rapid deployment, within minutes rather than months, reducing implementation friction and total cost of ownership.
Today, Segura® serves more than 1,000 organizations across 70 countries, including enterprises in highly regulated sectors such as financial services, government, telecommunications, manufacturing, and retail. The company holds a +98% customer recommendation rating on Gartner Peer Insights and has been recognized in Gartner’s Magic Quadrant for Privileged Access Management. It has also participated in NATO’s Locked Shields cyber defense exercise and holds Strategic Defense Company certification from Brazil’s Ministry of Defense.
While initially addressing privileged access challenges for one of the world’s largest banks, Segura®’s platform has expanded to cover endpoint privilege, secure remote access, machine identity, and certificate management within a single, unified architecture.
Marcus Scharra, CEO and Co-Founder of Segura®, described the investment as validation of the company’s long-term vision to deliver powerful, simple security to organizations worldwide. Francisco Alvarez-Demalde, Co-Founder and Managing Partner at Riverwood Capital, noted that Segura® has grown into one of the most comprehensive PAM platforms in the market, with deep credibility in highly regulated environments.
For customers and partners, the transaction signals continuity and long-term stability. Existing data protection commitments, service standards, and pricing structures remain unchanged. For enterprise buyers evaluating multi-year identity security investments, the round provides additional confidence in Segura®’s financial foundation and strategic direction.
At Graphene Ventures, we invest in companies building critical infrastructure for the digital economy. Segura®’s disciplined growth, enterprise focus, and product execution reflect that mission. We look forward to supporting the company in this next phase alongside Riverwood Capital.
